Optimize Surgery Capacity and Reduce Costs

[WEBINAR]

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2021

As hospitals and healthcare systems return to normal operations post the COVID-19 pandemic, leaders will be challenged to optimize the use of their surgical suites.  The high volume of case cancellations and patients postponing elective procedures has resulted in an increased demand for surgical time while Surgery Departments are facing tremendous pressure to reduce their operating costs.  During this session, HealthInsights.ai and TIBCO will host a team of client panelists that are using advanced surgical analytics powered by Spotfire.   Specific discussions topics will include:

·         Improving block utilization through robust analytics not available in an electronic health record, data science to forecast block utilization, and workflows to enable block release

·         Optimizing capacity by improving on-time starts and scheduling accuracy

·         Using both internal and external comparative benchmarks to identify best practices, reduce variations in supply use, and set achievable performance goals.

Panelists will also identify additional key performance measures and analytics views that are enabling them to effectively manage the surgical department and share their outcomes including recapturing block time valued at over $4 million per year and reducing supply costs by over $600,000 per year.
