HealthInsights: The Beginnings & Foundation

In the midst of a pandemic that put the world on hold and healthcare in the largest crisis in recent history, HealthInsights came to life. This is the beginning of how a team came together with a true mission to enable healthcare leaders to achieve their strategic goals and improve outcomes through the power of data. HealthInsights supported our clients across the country during the toughest time in healthcare and through this phase, strong relationships and partnerships were formed.

During this time, healthcare providers were struggling to keep up with their data and reporting needs. Their IT and analyst team members were called to prioritize more urgent activities such as helping hand out meals to working in nursing units. They had to adapt to a new reality and become agile to continue to deliver patient care to their communities. HealthInsights was there to support these providers in any way we could, like automating reports, creating new Covid dashboards, updating data loads, creating new ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) models, and transforming on premise applications to the cloud. These activities were critical projects that we stepped in and met our client’s needs so they could continue to provide patient care to their communities.

As time went on, we grew with our clients through partnerships and word of mouth. We soon realized HealthInsights had a solid foundation where we could bring innovative solutions to the market. At its core, HealthInsights has four foundational pillars that drive our strategy and the actions for our team.

  1. Customertional pillars that drive our strategy and the actions for our team. Focus

In every interaction with our clients, we, at HealthInsights maintain focus so that we can provide the most valuable insights based on their specific needs and challenges. Through that clear focus, our experts in healthcare data and analytics have consistently delivered successful solutions and better outcomes. At times, projects will not always go the way everyone expected but we will always be there to make it right, find the correct path and follow through on our commitments.

  2. Continuous Learning & Growth

As technology and data tools continue to evolve at a faster pace than ever, we foster an environment and mindset of “always be learning.” Therefore, at HealthInsights we invest the time to learn about the latest technologies so that we may educate our clients and provide the most cutting-edge knowledge where it can bring the most value. We continue to grow and expand our expertise as members of these healthcare associations, the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).

  3. Agile & Adaptive Culture

In order to deliver the most value to our customers, we know that our agile and adaptive culture plays the biggest role in meeting our client’s needs. We understand project deadlines can be pushed up, funding can be halted suddenly, or the trajectory of the project can change directions. We are mindful of the state of our healthcare industry and regardless, we are confident in our abilities to adjust to these sudden changes in a professional and respectful manner. Our company culture is built around these key skills and our clients observe this when they meet with us.

  4. Community Advocacy & Collaboration

We believe that the answer to a better healthcare system overall is with the power of knowledge sharing and collaboration. We engage in various activities to carry out this mission. You can find us in front of an audience, presenting at our healthcare associations listed above, and participating in university forums and webinars with folks at the University of North Carolina Charlotte and the University of Alabama in Birmingham’s Graduate Healthcare Administration Alumni. More notably, because we believe in empowering the next generation of data analysts, we support internships throughout the year for recent graduates in the field of data and analytics. Our future success is dependent on how well we carry out these four pillars with our clients and partners. We are proud of the work that we get to do every day and are passionate about helping healthcare organizations and leaders do more with their data.

During the upcoming weeks and months, we will proceed with a series of blogs from our team members so stay tuned! If you have any topics or suggestions, or would like to contribute to the blog, please send us an email.

We look forward to having the opportunity to serve the healthcare community for many years to come. We appreciate your partnership and trust in us.
